Medical & usage disclaimer
SugarRisk is an educational tool designed to help adults understand common prediabetes and metabolic risk factors. It does not replace medical tests, clinical diagnosis or personalised medical advice.
1. Not a diagnosis
The SugarRisk index is not a diagnosis of diabetes, prediabetes or any medical condition. Only qualified healthcare professionals can diagnose metabolic disorders using lab tests, medical history and clinical evaluation.
2. Not a substitute for medical care
This tool cannot replace professional medical advice, evaluation, counselling, treatment or emergency care. Do not delay speaking with a doctor because of something you calculated or read on SugarRisk.
- SugarRisk cannot interpret your lab results.
- SugarRisk cannot evaluate symptoms or medical history.
- SugarRisk cannot detect prediabetes, diabetes or complications.
3. Risk scores are estimates
Risk results are approximate and based on simplified models inspired by public diabetes risk tools. They cannot predict your personal medical outcome and should not be used to self-diagnose.
4. Always seek professional evaluation
If you are concerned about blood sugar, weight changes, fatigue, excessive thirst, frequent urination or any other symptoms, please contact your doctor, diabetes nurse or a qualified healthcare provider as soon as possible.
5. Emergency situations
SugarRisk does not detect emergencies. If you experience severe symptoms such as:
- confusion, fainting or extreme drowsiness
- rapid breathing or vomiting
- severe dehydration or abdominal pain
Please contact emergency medical services immediately.
6. No responsibility for decisions
SugarRisk is provided “as-is”. The creators, maintainers or affiliates cannot be held responsible for medical decisions you make based on the results or information displayed on this website.
7. Educational purpose
The goal of SugarRisk is to encourage awareness, early screening and informed conversations with healthcare professionals. It is not intended to diagnose, cure, mitigate or prevent any disease.
